Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 21, 2026 • Product: Lopo Studio for Windows
Your SQL queries and data rows never traverse our servers.
Credentials are secured via Windows DPAPI hardware encryption.
Normal desktop usage requires no internet connection or user account.
1. Our Privacy Philosophy
Lopo Studio is built around a core engineering principle: **your database is your business**. As a local-first Windows desktop client, Lopo Studio does not require you to create an account, log in with social providers, or route your database traffic through remote cloud proxies.
2. What Data We DO NOT Collect
- Your Database Rows & Contents: We have zero access to the tables, records, schemas, or analytics contained in your databases.
- Your SQL Queries: Queries executed in the editor execute locally over your network interface and are never transmitted to us.
- Your Passwords & Connection Strings: Passwords, SSH private keys, and connection credentials are saved exclusively in your local Windows Credential Manager. They are never transmitted over the internet or logged in query history.
3. Information Collected via Website & Purchases
When you purchase a Founder License or visit our marketing website, minimal necessary information is processed:
- Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely by Paddle. We do not receive or store your credit card numbers. Paddle provides us with transaction confirmation, purchase date, and billing email to deliver your license key.
- Support Communications: If you contact us via email, we retain your email address and message contents solely to assist you with your request.
4. Local Storage & Security Safeguards
Lopo Studio uses Windows native security features to safeguard local settings:
- Connection passwords and SSH credentials use the Windows Data Protection API (DPAPI).
- Local application configurations (e.g. UI theme preference, saved query folders) are stored in your standard local Windows AppData directory.
5. Third-Party Services
Our website uses Paddle for payment processing and GitHub for issue tracking and code distribution. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for details on their data processing practices.
